Corry Boy’s Basketball

Offensively we had our ups and downs tonight, but defensively we are going to be able to stay in any game if we play like we did tonight only allowing 22 points total. Our game plan for tonight was to stop #55 Hoffman and #14 Martin who make up for the majority of their points and we did that. Tonight we had a balanced attack scoring,  leading the way was Elchynski and then Knapp and Gentilman both had 10 a piece.Reagan James chipped in with 8 points, so we almost had a fourth in the double digit column. Any coach likes to see that happen, it is nice to see that you have to stop multiple players in an offense. Our guys work so well as a unit and play great team basketball. Some of our guys definitely struggled tonight, but it is nice to see them work through it. I thought Nate Gentilman played a really good all around game, he came out again and was a threat on the offensive end as well as always doing a really solid job controlling the paint. Taylor Willis has been put into a spot he hasn’t been put in before, and he is continuing to learn that position and will get more comfortable as the season goes on. He is getting better every game. I really thought Zajac came off the bench today and worked hard on the defensive end and took care of the ball offensively. He is going to come up big on the offensive end as we get further into the season. Dalton Jaquith also had some solid minutes tonight, he is always 100% effort and a total team player. Elchynski also lead the rebounding column with 7 and James lead the steal column with 3.
