Edinboro women’s cross country team

NEW ORLEANS, La. – After winning the Doug Watts Open on September 8, the Edinboro women’s cross country team jumped from 20th to 15th in the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Coaches Poll, released on Wednesday. The Fighting Scots are the only team in the PSAC to be ranked and to receive any votes.

Three of the top five ranked teams in the preseason poll did not change rankings. Adams State remained first, Grand Valley State is second, and the University of Mary stayed fourth. Western State jumped from third into a second-place tie with Grand Valley State. Augustana (S.D.) cracked the top five as they moved from sixth to fifth.

Edinboro returns to action on Saturday, September 29, at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational, hosted by Loyola University Chicago. The invitational is scheduled to start at 12:15 p.m.
