LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After scoring a goal in the last three matches and helping the Edinboro women’s soccer team to a 2-0-0 record a week ago, Brittnie Spithaler was named PSAC Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon. She is the first women’s soccer player to receive this award this season and the last since Ashley Mutkus in 2017. She scored the first goal Sunday’s contest at the 9:31 mark and the game-winning goal at 61:49.
This season, Spithaler has accounted for five goals and one assist for 11 points. She ranks second on the team in both goals and points.
Spithaler will look to extend her scoring streak and help the Fighting Scots win their fourth consecutive match and third in a row at home on Wednesday, October 17 against Seton Hill. That match will get underway at 6:00 p.m.
